Head Coach Rob Rankin had this to say “We swam tough against good competition. We had some good surprise swims. This was a first big meet for our freshmen and they stepped up and swam well. We had people seated above us that helped push us while we had teams that we felt confident that we could beat putting us in a good position to swim well at our first big meet. Centenary is a Division 1 school and Henderson State is a highly ranked Division-II program. We were able to compete with them, and even beat them in some of our races. Joe (Joseph Sarradet) lead the team in all of his races. Setting a pool record in the 200 Individual Medley, leading the 400 Medley Relay off with a 52. He’s the type of athlete that doesn’t have a lot of excuses. He’s swims to win. He’s a tough competitor that likes rising to the occasion against tough competition. In a coaches poll done by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference he was picked as a pre-season All-Conference selection. This was a good meet for us all.”
